SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Library Board Trustee Nina Rohrer has decided to not reapply for another term on the Library Board of Trustees. Rohrer has served the past seven years on the board, and has been a proponent of the library’s expansion plans.
Mayor Matthew P. Anesh presented Rohrer with a plaque at the last Library Board meeting thanking her for her years of service on the Library Board.
South Plainfield Library Director Linda Hansen said, “Nina has been a longtime library advocate, and we are grateful for all of the time and effort that she has put into the many projects the library has gone through over the years. From the devastation of Hurricane Irene to the nearly decade-long search for a sustainable solution to our space issue, Nina was there through it all. Even through she will no longer serve on the Library Board, I know she will continue to be a driving force in the library’s future endeavors."
Rohrer said she is looking to spend more time with her family and work in the upcoming year. Library Board member Christine Faustini said, “I have known Nina many years, and in that time her devotion to her community has continued to grow. We will miss her, but I know she will continue to be a part of the library family.
