SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

At 7:36 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The statement was issued because of the likelihood of patches of black ice developing overnight as the winds increase and the temperature falls below freezing.
