Best's School Appointment Made Permanent

PATERSON, NJ - City school officials have made former board member Theodore "TJ" Best's appointment to a $75,000 job in the district permanent.

Last summer, the district named Best, who is also a Passaic County freeholder, as its interim Supervisor of Special Proojects. District officials then posted a notice that the permanent position was available and accepted applications before naming Best to the job.

The permanent appointment took effect on January 28, acccording to the district's monthly personnel report.

Over the past several months, as part of his special projects duties, Best has overseen the district's anti-bullying program and worked in its communications office.
