Berkeley Heights Police Officers to Participate in Tri-County Riders Wine Tasting, Friday, Dec. 6

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Tri-County Riders are hosting a Wine Tasting on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. to benefit the Police Unity Tour.  The tasting will be at the Green Village Fire Department located at 529 Green Village Road, Green Village. 

Tickets are $30 and available thru any team member or contact chathamriders@gmail.com.  Catering is provided by Marie's Deli and sponsored by Hickory Wine Cellar in Chatham. 

The Police Unity Tour was organized to bring awareness of Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices.  A secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum.  Each member must raise $1,800 to participate in the Police Unity Tour. The officers fundraise between Nov. 2013 and Apr. 2014. 

Detective Mark Stallone, Ptl. T-Bone Fettes, and Ptl. Jeanne-Marie Mocarski from the Berkeley Heights Police Department are members of the Police Unity Tour Tri-County Riders Chapter X.  Their team consists of Police Officers from several departments in Morris, Somerset, and Union Counties in New Jersey; Madison PD, Chatham Township PD, Bernards Township PD, Hillside PD, Long Hill Township PD, Peapack-Gladstone PD, Summit PD, Union County PD, and Warren PD. 

The Police Unity Tour motto is "We ride for those who died."  The 2014 tour will leave Trenton, NJ on May 9 and arrive in Washington D.C. at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on May 12 with a candlelight vigil on May 13.
