Berkeley Heights Police Investigating Saturday's Fatal Car Crash

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - A Berkeley Heights woman was seriously injured and a Manchester woman died after a two-vehicle crash in the township on Saturday, June 16.
According to police, the accident occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Willow Way when a vehicle driven by Michael D. Miller, 19, of Locust Valley, NY, collided with a vehicle being driven by Joseph Tribuna, 50, of Berkeley Heights.
Police said the crash occurred as Miller attempted a left turn on to Willow Way, in front of Tribuna. Two passengers in Tribuna's vehicle, Linda Tribuna, 50, of Berkeley Heights and Antoinette Cecere, 79, of Manchester, both sustained serious injuries. They were transported by the Berkeley Heights Rescue Squad to Morristown Memorial Hospital. Cecere died from her injuries on June 19.
The Berkeley Heights Traffic Division and the Union County Fatal Accident team also responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. The accident remains under investigation at this time and the Police Department asks anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact Det. Sgt. Joseph Williams or Sgt. Robert Deitch.
