SUMMIT, NJ - Asylum Quartet, an awarding-winning classical chamber ensemble made up of four saxophonists, will open this year’s Sounds of A Summer Night, concert-in-the-garden series at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, on June 25.
The group recently garnered the distinction of being the first saxophone quartet to receive top honors at the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition, winning the Grand Prize and the Gold Medal.
All Sounds of A Summer Night concerts are on Wednesday evenings, and begin with the Arboretum grounds opening up at 6 p.m. for concertgoers to picnic. The performances are from 7 - 8 p.m. All attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
