BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Teen Arts celebrated the diverse artistic accomplishments of students from Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, New Providence and Summit.  Since its inception 42 years ago, its goal has been to encourage middle and high school students to explore their potential and fine-tune their talents in the fine, literary, and performing arts including vocal music, instrumental music, dance, theater, creative writing, visual arts, photography, and video.

Teen Arts 2014 was hosted by Gov. Livingston High School with over 800 entries spanning throughout the hallways, classrooms, library, and theater of the school.  The public was invited to view paintings and drawings, sculptures, creative writing, photography, video, fashion as well as performances in instrumental music, choir, musical theater and dance.

The student is offered a written evaluation by a local professional representing one of the artistic categories.   The goal of the critiquing process by professional artists is to offer students feedback on their artistic abilities and insight into the creative process in a non-competitive, encouraging forum.

The Teen Arts Festival is sponsored by the PTOs and PTAs of the participating schools. The success of the festival is attributed to the many volunteers, teachers and professional critiquers who have dedicated their time to the students.
