Arrest Made in Double Homicide in 4th Ward in January

PATERSON, NJ – A 35-year-old city man was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of murder in a shooting that happened on Summer Street on January 28, police said.
Capt. Heriberto identified the suspect as Rondell Goodwin, who also faces an aggravated assault and various weapons charges.
Police say Goodwin was charged with the killing of two 22-year-olds from the 1st Ward - Dashon Adamson of N. 3rd Street and Taheem Taylor of N. Main Street. A third victim was wounded, but later recovered from his wounds, police said.
Authorities have described the shooting as a chaotic scene as gunshots sent a crowd of people hanging out near the corner of Summer and Broadway at 3:30 am running for cover. Police have not yet made public what they believe was the motive in the shooting.
Rodriguez said the investigation was continuing.
