Area Buried Under a Foot of Snow

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ  -  Towns in our area received from 10 to 14 inches of snow, depending on exact location.  The storms have now moved offshore, although we are expected to experience strong gusts of wind throughout the day.  This will not only blow the snow around, but increases the risk of tree limbs falling and threatening power lines.

Local road crews have done a great job keeping up with the snow, however, residents are urged to stay off the roads to allow emergency crews to complete their work with minimal interference.

The majority of homes and businesses in our area do have power at this time, but both PSE&G and JCP&L have made preparations to deal with outages as they are reported.
