CLARK, NJ - A second water main break in less than one week has traffic patterns diverted on Madison Hill Road again this afternoon. Police Chief Alan Sherb, who spoke with TAP into Clark's Editor Susan Bonnell a short time ago, confirmed there was another break this afternoon. He also said there are seven houses without water. Repairs are estimated to take six to seven hours to complete. All cars are being detoured around the work area via Doris Way. The roads in the area are completely closed to trucks at this time.

There are no official statements available connecting today's break with work done in the same area yesterday or at the site of the original break last week. Thursday's break was a large 36-inch main running parallel to the Madison Hill Road bridge. A valve was put on the pipe but repairs are not finished because the actual break is under water next to the bridge. A representative of NJ American Water was not availablefor comment on the continuation of last week's project or today's break at the release time of this story. Details will follow as they become available.
