Thanksgiving Holiday: No Trash or Recycling Collection

LIVINGSTON, NJ – Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, recycling and trash collection dates will change next week.  If you have Monday and Thursday garbage pick-up, your last garbage collection day (and bulk garbage collection) for November will be Monday, November 25.  Therefore, your bulk garbage collection for November will be on Monday, November 25.

There will be no garbage collection on Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day). If your garbage is normally picked up on Thursday, your next garbage collection day will be Monday, December 2.

Recycling pickup changes with holiday schedule

Reminder:  If you are in Zone 4, your commingled recycling will be picked up on Friday, November 29 (instead of Thursday, November 28).  If you are in Zone 5, your commingled recycling will be collected on Saturday, November 30 (instead of Friday, November 29).

To find your zone, visit www.livingstonnj.org.  There, go to “Services” and select “Garbage Collection” to find a list of streets with their garbage and recycling zones.  Or, click the new “GIS” link at the top right of the home page.  There, you can search for your address and find your zone.

November’s Metal Recycling will be collected on Wednesday, November 27.  To be included in the Metal Recycling pickup on November 27, call or email by 12:00 noon on Friday, November 22:  973-992-5000 ext. #5522 or ticolari@livingstonnj.org.

In December, due to the Christmas Holiday, December metal recycling pickup will be on Wednesday, December 18; residents must contact the Public Works Department by 12:00 noon on Friday, December 13 to schedule a pickup.
