The Hatfield man accused of swiping the wallet of an umpire from the man's car at School Road Park and then using it to buy various items, including Corona and Budweiser beer, at Hatfield and Towamencin township stores, has been nabbed by Philadelphia Police on Hatfield Township Police's arrest warrant.

Charles Campbell Jr., 45, of the 100 block of Oak Park Road, was arrested Monday and turned over to Hatfield Township Police, police said.

Campbell was arraigned before District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser in Souderton and sent to Montgomery Conty prison in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for July 22 at 11:15 a.m.

Campbell is charged with felony forgery, misdemeanor access device fraud, misdemeanor possession of a counterfeit or altered credit card, misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor theft from a motor vehicle and misdemeanor receiving stolen property.

This is Campbell's first criminal offense in Montgomery County.

Police allege Campbell is the bald white man who swiped the wallet during a baseball game at School Road Park June 14.

The alleged thief was described as bald, between 40 and 50 years old, with a tattoo on his lower right leg. The suspect drove a white Ford Explorer XLT, possibly a 2004 model.
