ALJ Student Athletes Join Pre-School for Fun Field Day

CLARK, NJ - The Crusader Athletic Leadership Council (C.A.L.C.) participated in Field Day today at the Clark Pre-School. Field Day is a special day set aside for fun outdoor activities and friendly athletic competitions.

Field Day activities included: Egg on a Spoon, Soccer Kick, Limbo, Ring Toss, Mini Golf, Obstacle Course, Ice Cream Relay, Basketball, Bucket Relay and Hoop and Ball Races.

C.A.L.C. members interacted with the Clark Pre-School students at each station and enjoyed their time with the children.  C.A.L.C. members Christina Bonaccorso, Michelle Brocato, Catie Caliguire, Emily Curran, Gina DiNucci, Vin Fischetti, Michael LaBianca, Joe Lomeli, Maura Moran, Michael Pieros, Michele Pozyc, Victor Rizzuto, Nick Vargas, Bobby Weisensee, and Steven Weisensee assisted in all of the activities throughout the day.

Gus Kalikas, Athletic Director, at Arthur L. Johnson High School, said about the event. “The C.A.L.C. was thrilled to be able to assist with the Clark Pre School’s Field Day events. It was fun watching the high school student athletes as they interacted with the young children, and I think both groups not only enjoyed the experience, but learned a lot while doing it.”

Lori Kowalski, Clark Preschool Teacher, said “It was a picture perfect day for the annual Clark Preschool Field day on the Brewer Field.  The children rotated through ten activities from bucket relay to ring toss for five minute intervals utilizing gross motor skills.  A special thank you goes out to the Preschool staff, volunteer parents, and the Crusader Athletic Leadership Council Club for all their assistance and helping hands!

C.A.L.C. participants extended their thanks to Megan Consiglio, Linda Koepfler, Valerie LaManna, Mary Lillis, Lori Kowalski and Marie Sarosey of the Clark Pre-School for allowing them to be a part of the day.
