We are excited to announce the addition of Alison Mazie, LSW to our team here at Family First! Alison, our new Community Liaison, began her connection to seniors 25 years ago as a masters-level healthcare social worker in long term care, assisted living and adult day care settings. Her career evolved to include fundraising for senior care facilities, geriatric care management, and medical massage therapy for seniors and hospice patients. Alison's social work background has led her to run support groups for caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients as well as Bereavement Support Groups. She has been a holistic educator, guiding patients and their families through the challenges of aging, illness and caregiving with supportive tools for mindfulness practice and complementary-care coping skills.
