Alaris Health at West Orange and Barnabas Health Heart Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) announce a partnership to provide integrated medical care and rehabilitation services to patients who are recovering from a variety of conditions. Alaris Health at West Orange will provide patients with the same quality and continuity of care after they transition from NBIMC allowing them to continue their recovery process. Founded on a tradition of health care excellence, Alaris’ Member Health Centers are leading providers of short-term post hospital rehabilitation, long term and specialty care, with Member Health Centers throughout the state of New Jersey.
“We are enthusiastic about this partnership and will offer the same standard of excellence in medical care that patients receive at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center,” said Avery Eisenreich, Founder of Alaris Health of New Jersey. “We provide them with a seamless transition to our dedicated facility. Our interdisciplinary approach to care, combined with comprehensive rehabilitation, promotes quicker recovery and helps patients return home more rapidly.”
Recovery after a major surgical event is different for every patient, and the new partnership ensures that patients receive individual medical care best suited to their needs. The services provided meet specific needs for patients recovering from heart conditions such as heart failure, stable angina, heart transplant, coronary bypass, device implant and heart valve surgery. Other patients who benefit from individual services are those with lung or kidney transplants.
“Although patients may transition from our Heart Center facility, they can rest assured that all care is provided by a single team of expert physicians and nurses who are in daily communication with the Alaris team about the plan of care,” John A. Brennan, MD, MPH, President and CEO, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) and Children's Hospital of New Jersey.
Alaris Health at West Orange offers a dedicated Heart Failure and Transplant Specialty Unit, seven day per-week Rehabilitation Therapies, hospital-approved physician oversight, and a NBIMC Heart Failure Treatment and Transplant Program Advanced Practice onsite-Nurse.
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is ranked one of the Region’s Best Hospitals in Cardiology and Heart Surgery by US News & World Report 2012-2013 and is the home to the third largest heart transplant program in the country with outstanding long-term survival rates that consistently meet or exceed national benchmarks.
