Accident in Westfield Sends Pedestrian to Hospital

WESTFIELD, NJ—Update:
A male pedestrian attempting to cross the intersection of Central Avenue and Cacciola Place was struck by a Nissan station wagon this morning at approximately 11:10 a.m. He was taken to University Hospital for evaluation, according to Captain Scott Rodger of the Westfield Police.
According to an earlier communication with Westfield Police Chief David Wayman, the pedestrian’s injuries are non-life-threatening.
Westfield Police are still investigating the accident.
