Aaron Williams Charged in Shooting in 4th Ward on Saturday Night

PATERSON, NJ - Aaron Williams has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to have weapons, in connection with the shooting that took place Saturday night in the 4th Ward. Williams was identified as the alleged shooter in the incident.
According to the Paterson Police Department, on Sunday at approximately 5:00 P.M., Detectives Edgar Taylor and Rolondo Polio were in the area of Straight Street and Washington Avenue on an unrelated incident when they recognized Aaron Williams as a person wanted in the shooting incident on March 16.
Williams was walking in the area with a group of males and was taken into custody after attempted to flee from the detectives. He was taken into custody without further incident, and is being detained at Paterson Police Headquarters.
