A Visit to Liberty House in Jersey City
Monday, November 21, 2011 • 7:15am
Located inside historic Liberty State Park in Jersey City, Liberty House Restaurant is a 14,000 sq. ft. venue featuring magnificent views of the Manhattan Skyline, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. Owned and operated by Jeanne and Frank Cretella, of Landmark Hospitality, and The Stone House in Warren, the restaurant recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. Guests visiting Liberty House enjoy wandering outdoors on to an enlarged patio where, when weather permits, you’re welcome to enjoy drinks and a view of the surrounding areas.
Regardless of when you decide to visit Liberty House, do call and make reservations for lunch or dinner. Chef Ken Trickilo and Staff are continually busy preparing and creating diverse menus which focus on unique combinations of ingredients and flavorings.
Recently at a Liberty House “Tasting” Dinner, Chef Trickilo’s menu started with Roasted Red and Gold Beet Terrine, Mache lettuce, fresh Goat Cheese, and Aged Sherry vinaigrette. Wine: Prosecco: Bisol Jeis

Sharing the evening with us, and on display with Melissa Gorga of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ was the Zenvo ST 1-508. Produced in Denmark, we were informed that the car sells for $1.8 million. And, in fact, Jay Leno, host of “The Tonight Show” was the first celebrity to test drive the stunning vehicle.
According to a recent press release, “Research and development for the Zenvo prototype began in 2004. Production of the first model, the ST1, started in 2009. Features of the $1.8 million car include a keyless entry, satellite navigation, a power telescoping steering wheel, and leather racing seats that are adjusted electronically."
You’re just never quite sure who will be sharing your evening at Liberty House. One thing you will know is the view will be spectacular, and something you should really not miss.
