A Successful Reopening Of Parkview School
Friday, September 27, 2013 • 10:38am
The second opening of Parkview was just as exciting as the first opening day. Our children and our staff were thrilled to be home at Parkview School! Our day was dedicated to readjusting to our schedule and organizing classrooms with the assistance of additional staff. The classrooms are starting to resemble their original state thanks to the many staff who pitched in and showed up at Parkview School very early this morning, ready to unpack boxes and hang instructional materials.
Target was very generous once again and contacted us early this morning donating additional school supplies for any student or teacher who needed them. The students prepared a thank you poster for Target earlier this week for their original donation. I took the opportunity to meet with the Target manager and present the thank you poster. Trish, the manager was very impressed and immediately hung the poster in the front entrance way to Target where she took pictures to forward to her main office.
In addition, while I was on the drop-off loop this morning, many parents thanked all of us for acting so quickly with correcting the mold concern and continuing to instruct the children.
The past several weeks have definitely offered challenges, but the amazing team here in Milltown has once again demonstrated their ability to overcome any obstacle. The parents, guardians, staff, Board and students have been totally resilient, flexible and most of all have a willing spirit.
Thank you to everyone who helped us through this difficult time!
