PATERSON, NJ - The Ivanhoe Artists, in cooperation with the National Park Service, are inviting folks to participate in a mural project at Overlook Park this Saturday.

 

"Please join us as we paint a grand scale mural highlighting Paterson's
contributions to the United States and the world as we know it,'' reads the Ivanhoe announcement. "The mural will be located near the S.U.M. building, across from the bridge over the Great Falls.  
Everyone is invited to enjoy a beautiful fall day with us as we paint, listen to music, poetry, stories of our history... the water.''

 
The project will run from 11 am to 5 pm. Refreshments will be available and art supplies will be provided by the National Park Service.

Anyone interested in participating - either painting the mural, performing, or volunteering in any way - is asked to register in advance by calling 973-826-0132 or writing to: patersonarts@gmail.com.

 

Ivanhoe is asking people to register by October 3.
