‘Taste of the World’ is the largest fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of West Orange. This evening has become an integral part of the club’s ability to continually sponsor its many programs and activities. These include providing college scholarships, giving dictionaries to every third grader in West Orange, funding a local summer camp for the disabled, supporting the local first aid squads, the local food bank and so many more worthy causes. As a part of Rotary International, the Club’s world-wide mission is to promote peace through understanding and friendship. Some of Rotary’s International Activities include Polio Plus, Rotaplast, a program to correct juvenile cleft palates, Gift of Life, a program to correct heart defects in children, and Pure Water For the World, a program which brings clean water to communities all over the world who lack this basic resource.
