WEST ORANGE, NJ - - 8 to 8 Barbershop, located at the corner of Northfield Avenue and Valley Road, donated boxes of school supplies to Hazel and Washington Elementary School, thanks to the generosity of their clients.

“It was so great for them to think about us.  The school supplies will benefit a lot of students and we are making sure that everybody is getting something,” said Principal DeMaio at Washington. “It is such a wonderful gesture on their part.”

Jason Robinson, barbershop owner and proactive community member, said his business has a strong commitment to the community. “Much of what we do is community-based, and our clients want to help the community too,” explained Robinson.

Over 50 people donated items, and Global Grease of West Orange was especially generous in the amount of donations contributed according to Robinson. Donations ranged from pencils and crayons, to backpacks and notebooks, and even monetary donations.

“Yes, we were absolutely happy to be the recipients of the materials,” exclaimed Principal Acevedo of Hazel Elementary
