For the fourth year in a row, Ryan and Sydney Muench hosted the annual Earth Day Cleanup of Northland Park in Livingston on Thursday, April 22nd. Having seen the garbage strewn around the baseball fields and along the paths of the park three years ago, Ryan wanted to do something good for the environment. "Outside is my second home," he said, "so I want it to be clean." The Muench's were joined by Chris Bae, Tori and Matthew Hostetler, Steve and Jack Toby, Maya and Ruth Kaluski, and Ryann DeMaio.

In addition to dozens of discarded water and beer bottles, other garbage that was collected included a car tire, a rusty lawnmower, a toilet plunger, broken glass, baby wipes, a Frisbee, candy wrappers, metal poles, and an old basketball. "If we didn't find anything that would have been great!" said Sydney Muench.
