PATERSON, NJ - A drug ring operated by a street gang in the 4th Ward was the target of a massive indictment by a Passaic County grand jury on Tuesday, according to a story on northjersey.com.
The Fruit Town Brims gang was selling $50,000 a week worth of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana in Paterson until it was hit by a series of raids engineered by the Attorney General's Office and State Police last June, the story said.
Authorities say 34 members, including three alleged ringleaders - Alshaquen Nero and Tahir Canady, both of Paterson, and Shabli Williams of Old Bridge - were face charges under the indictment.
