$2 Million Bail For Accused Rapist

PATERSON, NJ - The man accused of sexually assaulting two young men at knifepoint in a downtown Paterson commercvial building had his bail set at $2 million on Friday, according to northjersey.com.
Authorities have charged 42-year-old Rafael Velez with two rapes that happened at 129 Market Street on September 14 and October 1 and are investigating whether he was responsible for a third sexuall assault that occurred near the Great Falls on October 2.
Velez was arrested in Newark on Thursday after he eluded police on Wednesday when they went to his job at a textile factory on Market Street.
