FANWOOD, NJ – Seasonable weather, abundant vendors and lots of people contributed to the success of the 18th Annual Fanny Wood Day on Sunday.
Mayor Colleen Mahr thanked The Fanny Wood Day Committee for all their hard work in making the event such a success. “They have put in much time and effort into making sure there is something for everyone, from the ice cream eating contest from the Double Dipper to the classic cars,” Mahr said.
There were other events, such as the photo contest, won by Tom Kranz, pizza eating sponsored by Nick’s Pizza and a new contest, pie eating, sponsored by newcomers Mara’s Bakery and Café.
Jacqui Byrne, owner of Ivy Ed, enjoyed having a table right outside the shop her company will be moving into later in the year, next to Mara’s Bakery.
“We are really excited about coming to Fanwood,” said Byrne. “This is really a fantastic place.”
