PATERSON, NJ – City police are looking for 18-year-old Marc Eason on attempted murder charges in a September 2 shooting in the 4th Ward that left the victim with a paralyzed right leg.

Eason, a Franklin Street resident, allegedly shot a 26-year-old Lodi man during an altercation near the corner of 10th Avenue and E.23rd Street, police said. Eason was identified as the suspect through an investigation conducted by Paterson Police Cease-Fire Detectives Dave Tanis and Eddie Taylor.

The initial investigation indicated there may have been a second shooter, but that has not been substantiated, said Sgt. Patrick Murray.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Eason’s whereabouts to contact the Cease-Fire detectives at 973-321-1342.
