A Little Rant Goes a Long Way at Livingston Mall
By Livingston Mall
7/26/2010

Those with the gift for gab will have an opportunity to show off their sports knowledge and verbal stylings when Livingston Mall hosts the Sports Radio 66 WFAN Fantasy Phenom Contest, a search to find the next radio personality to host his/her own show for one year on the popular sports radio station.

The auditions will take place at Livingston Mall in Livingston, NJ, on Saturday, July 31. Individuals with a flair for sports commentating are required to register in person at 10:00 a.m. Participants must be at least 18 years-old to register for the contest.

Auditions are limited to the first 100 registrants and participants should be prepared to answer a series of sports-related questions. The winners will then be asked to recite a two-minute "rant" about a sports-related topic of choice. A panel of Sports Radio 66 WFAN personalities will judge the competition.

The search at Livingston Mall is the final mall stop for the competition, which earlier this month visited Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ; Roosevelt Field in Garden City, NY; and The Westchester in White Plains, NY. Participants can also become "wild card" qualifiers – please visit www.wfan.com for complete details.

The judges will select a number of finalists from each Simon Mall location and "wild card" auditions – 50 people in total – who will then compete in the grand finale event at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, NJ, on Friday, August 27. One lucky participant will be named the next WFAN and Buffalo Wild Wings® Fantasy Phenom and receive a one-year contract to host his/her own show on Sports Radio 66 WFAN.

"We’re very proud to team with WFAN-AM to bring this rare opportunity to our shoppers at Livingston Mall," said Elizabeth DiDuca, area director of mall marketing & business development for Livingston Mall & Rockaway Townsquare. "Sports fans have such passion and the Fantasy Phenom Contest taps into that, giving spectators a chance to be front and center in the game and enjoy an exciting competition."

For more information about the Fantasy Phenom Contest, please stop by the Simon Guest Services booth or visit www.wfan.com.

As the world’s first 24-hour all-sports radio station, Sports Radio 66 WFAN remains the premier sports talk radio station in the business. Since its debut on July 1, 1987, dozens of stations have copied the all sports format, but none have achieved the success and the notoriety of the FAN.

Livingston Mall is located at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and South Orange Avenues in Livingston, New Jersey and managed by Simon Property Group, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.
