Livingston Library’s children’s librarian, Amanda Winter, visits Temple B’nai Abraham Early School throughout the school year delighting and interacting with students with her stories and songs. The summer at the Early School Camp continues in that practice as Miss Amanda, as she is known, recently shared wonderful stories and songs with the backdrop of the theme of Gone Fishing with the campers.
Campers listened attentively as Miss Amanda read "fish" books to them and then joined in with her as she led them in fish-themed songs. Enhancing the theme, she gave the students an opportunity for a hands-on activity as she presented stories on the felt story board. Shown assisting Miss Amanda in counting fish on the felt story board, in the Early School Children’s Library, is Early School camper Sky Christman.
For information regarding Early School programs, which are open to members and non-members, please contact Early School Director Debbie Aronson Ziering at 973-994-7016 or e-mail dziering@tbanj.org. Visit the website at www.tbearlyschool.org.
