Professional, contemporary, expressive abstract painter since 1983 with a 3,000sq. ft. studio & gallery in West Orange and a winter studio in the Palm Beach area of Florida.His reputation is as a colorist who explores the primacy of color, frontality, spatial & emotional ambiguity with the physicality of paint. Ben studied with Theodore Stamos, friend of Mark Rothko, at Columbia. and the Art Students' League of NY as well as at NYU.

Recent shows include  one man shows at Andre Zarre, NYC and the Eastport Arts Center, Maine and "Six NJ Masters" at Kean University, Union, NJ. His paintings are in numerous private, corporate & public cillections throughout the US, Canada & Europe.
