Short Hills Association Endorses Millburn School Budget

The Short Hills Association supports the Millburn School District 2012-2013 Budget and applauds this excellent effort toward achieving the Administration and Board of Education's stated goal of "Fiscal Responsibility and Academic Excellence".  This innovative budget has a zero sum basis, a four year projection of costs and expenditures and a "wish list" for future spending.  The budget increase is less than last year yet necessary investments are made in infrastructure and technology, as well as other curriculum areas such as the Rosetta Stone foreign language program.  Dr. James Crisfield, Superintendent of Schools, Steve Di Geronimo, Business Administrator, and the Board of Education recognize that continued diligence is essential to maintain the rigorous academic standards Millburn residents expect, while also restraining costs.

As part of its mission to preserve the quality of life in this community the Short Hills Association Board members meet annually with the Superintendent of Schools and  Board of Education finance committee members to assess the proposed budget and provide residents with their analysis.
